We love Lucy Folk’s take on jewellery – it’s a little bit of fun and whimsy to inject into the everyday. Between creating fashion films, designing new pieces for us to adorn and just being a legend in general, Lucy took 5 minutes out of her busy schedule to chat about her new collection – Tesoro, her inspirations and what’s coming up next for Lucy Folk.
You’ve always had such interesting and fun collections – what inspires you, and what was the inspiration behind Tesoro?
I am constantly travelling and this fuels my mind with all sorts of wild ideas and designs… I have been lucky enough to grow up in a very creative family that educated me about art, food and living life. Tesoro means treasure in Italian and celebrates the opulence of Venice… boat life, with a prosecco in hand, the biennale and general frivolity in a wondrous place.
We love the mood ring in the collection. It’s so 90’s and reminds us of our childhood. What’s your favourite piece in the collection and why?
I am always changing my mind, but currently I am coveting the Relic Hoops in 14ct gold and the Spritz earring in gold. I like to be mix it up. I have
to say that I am dripping in jewels. I feel naked without golden treats!
You’ve worked with some amazing people in the past, including stylist Valentine Fillol Cordier for this collection, who is your dream collaborator?
I would love to work with Wes Anderson and do the jewels for one of his films.
With Christmas around the corner what would be your perfect gift both to give and receive?
To give… a pair of my Fly Away Sunnies in Jungle with a special gold eyewear chain.
To receive… a bit of peace and quiet on holidays!! Bring it on. Maybe a new beach towel!
What’s next for Lucy Folk and what can we expect from your next collection?
Good question… I am heading to Tokyo at the end of Jan for some inspiration… and the next collection… well I can’t tell you much but its going to be heavy on gold and light on trend. You know me!!
Thanks Lucy! We’re all Japan obsessed! Can’t wait to see what spin you take on it.
Have a look at the short film filmed during the Venice Bienalle for Lucy’s new collection, Tesoro, In-stores now.

There’s so much new jewellery in Filly’s Stable, with recent drops from Maniamania and new arrivals, Japanese designer Hiroshi Kurokawa and London’s Maria Francesca Pepe.
Maria Francesca Pepe: This collection, named ‘In The City‘ is inspired by iconic urban surroundings, city skylines, city maps and neon city lights. All of her pieces are made in Italy.
Maniamania: The latest campaign for collection ‘Luminary‘ was shot guerrilla style backstage at New York fashion week,
using 5 up and coming models. The collection is inspired by muses of the 60′s and 70′s like Edie Sedgwick and Nico.
