With the racing season at it’s peak and Halloween approaching, there’s bound to be some scary outfits around this weekend. However….this is not one of them. Playfully chic, this feathery COOP skirt -$525- will ensure you’re a “hot favourite”.

It’s hard to make georgette/lace/embroidery heart/tutu work, but Coop (thank you Trelise Cooper) have nailed a fun LBD! This dress -$379- is an idea for any of you race-goers who don’t want to look like a lemming. Again, thanks to Le Hoof for providing these ridiculously amazing Opening Ceremony heels.
…. More race looks/inspiration to come (perhaps after we read-up on some racing etiquette).

This Katherine dress -$219.95- has all bases covered. It’s the dress that hangs in your wardrobe and whenever you can’t think of what to wear – you see it. Perfect length, cut and colour, it will head with you to the races (let’s admit – we will all attend once in our lives), to work, to your after work drinks, that Christening you need to go to, oh and that wedding!

We agree – extinction sucks. Something Else and Ken Done have teamed up to help combat animal extinction by creating two pieces of artwork – the fish printed on a tee and the psychedelic polar bears on a sleeveless tee. All proceeds are donated. Available at Filly and Mare.

Here is a serious dress for the serious dress season! This beautiful Kate Sylvester number -$679- is an amazing go-to dress to have in the wardrobe. The gold sequins against the khaki silk manage to compliment each other perfectly. There was gasping, followed by a silent awe when this frock was first put on – it has that effect on people!
Note: B Store shoes can be found over at Le Hoof

Since it is serious dress season, we thought we would show you this not-so-serious-but-seriously-cool Something Else dress -$139-. Such a cute throw-on party dress teamed with heels, or day dress with flats and sandals. The back also has the V detail, so you’ll look just as charming from behind… And for $139, your cost-per-wear will be virtually free!

Spotted at Fashion Week – Tibi silk Pants! You know you’re on to a good thing when the ‘International Set’ (code word for major editors/designers/Stable customers!) are wearing what you’ve got. Team these pants with a Queen L silk georgette Hepburn Shirt to replicate the look. Perfect heading into summer.

Here it is – Le Hoof’s first SHOE OF THE WEEK! These B Store cow print ankle boots could not be a more deserving winner. Talk about dressing from the feet up! With these shoes you really don’t need much else (well, legally perhaps you might…). You also need to be prepared to be stopped in the street and asked how you grew your fabulous hooves. No joke.

It’s that time of year when you seem to have event after event and nothing to wear. Alas, here is the answer – the LBD (sorry, had to say it!). The Brazilian label, Osklen, have managed to pull off an edgy and elegant version. With mixed textures, this LBD -$465- is particularly flattering on bustier women – accentuating the right areas (waist and legs). Perfect to keep in the wardrobe for all seasons – stockings and jackets will completely change the look in winter.
The amazing shoes (these are from London based label B Store) are housed in Le Hoof.

Cute cute cute! Kate Sylvester does it to us every time. This dress -$345- feels so good to wear. There is something about the full skirt, cinched in waist, pockets and belt that makes it oh so lady-like (some of us need help at times to feel like laaaaady!). Teamed here with the Giamo wedges -$199-.
